{Day 0} Going Over Yonder

The day has come! Soon I will be aboard a plane destined for New Zealand, an island populated with 4 million people and 40 million sheep. I best be going. Farewell friends, I shall return.

One Summer Tuesday Night...

I bowled a 101 the other week (w/ the last 2 points earned in the final frame). Stud. I know. But that doesn't matter. What matters is that this one round was the best bowling of my entire 21 years of existence. So, we show up at Wolf Pen Bowl-o-ramma (or whatever they call themselves) and not a soul was there. The high school employees...yes, but there were no other customers. We were it. I guess business at 10pm on a Tuesday during the summer isn't the best. It was kinda a shame, seeing that no one else could join us in enjoying our sweet 70's outfits. But it did mean we owned the jukebox. Also, it gave me unobstructed backgrounds during my photography feast, which I loved! I went crazy and had a blast with my camera. These are some of my most dear pictures in some time. Oh yea...yes, she is wearing fairy wings. And yes, his shorts really were that short. And yes, the guy in green really is that beautiful. Nice Willis, nice.

Day With Duckies

Apparently ducks like watermelon.
I would too if all I had ever tasted was stale, moldy bread.

This duck was all posh and sophisticated.
Or just had to tinkle.

My buddy snagged a ducky.
He was trilled.
The duck was not.

No Fear For I Am Here

Breathe. All is well. I know you were worried, for this is the first update in a while, but I'm here. Some time back my Dell laptop passed away, so I've had to endure life on earth without a computer and internet. It is possible, but quite painful. Anyways, here's an update:
  • a few weeks ago was my last day of finals, making me a Senior at the little university of A&M (this is craziness i say)
  • my Aggie ring is being forged in Mt. Doom as we speak (whoop!)
  • i watched my brother walk the stage last night, making him a Fish at the little university of A&M (heck yes i say)
  • i've been reminded that classes really put a damper on the whole college thing (my last couple weeks in College Station were a ball, more on that to come)
  • my summer is going to rock my world (more on that to come as well)

The (Yellow) Hands Go 'Round

"Come now, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit', yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.' "
- James 4:13-15

"My days are swifter than a weaver's shuttle..."

Here's one of my youth group boys illustrating for us what 1/1250 of a second looks like on film.

One Step Away

Today marked last regular day of classes of my junior year, and the summer is quickly sprinting my way. Soon I will take my final 3 finals. Soon I will order my Aggie ring (oh beautifulness). And soon I will be off off and away for a summer that is still under construction (no worries, you'll be posted). Lately I've been checking out some of my Guadalupe photos (this is another) and it's getting me all antsy to jet on outta here and hit the high country. Signing off.
